‘Most Creative Design’ Award Winner Inspired by Organic Farm

Kilkeel Fashion Design student Carole Cranston’s innovative collection inspired by Lurganconary Organic Farms recently picked up an award for ‘Most Creative Outfit’ at this year’s Annual Belfast Institute Fashion Show held in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.

Lurganconary Organic Farms, located close to Carole’s hometown of Kilkeel was the source of inspiration behind Carole’s innovative collection entitled “Natural Born Frillers’ which was created entirely from natural organic fibres. The collection stood out for its originality in design and creative excellence.

Carole purchased all her organic materials for the collection from Green Fibres, an organic fibre supplier in England. She used a mixture of organic cotton, hemp, linen and an organic range of silks to create her ‘Natural Born Frillers’ collection, which focused on the style feature of ‘frills’.

A number of Northern Ireland’s top designer stores have already expressed an interest in stocking Carole’s award winning ‘Lurganconary collection’ which is very promising sign for the young design student.
